Chidi 19th April 2020

I got the message of Jack's death at 5.14 am on 8th April from the sister in-law (Nma). She was obviously in great shock. Jack had died the previous day following all attempts to keep him alive by his wife (Nancy) and daughter (Jennifer). I met Jack for the first and only time on 22nd May, 2019 at his home. A gentleman indeed he was. You can tell a man by the type of home and family he keeps. There was this sense of peace and joy in his home and you knew instantly that this was a really happy home. I was really shocked with the news and only God knows the deep pain his family is experiencing at this moment. Nancy & Jennifer, it is hard to know or find words to console you at this time of ‘grief’ as you mourn. Please do not ask why as it will be a lot of energy spent, rather rejoice in the joy he brought to you. I gathered he was a very selfless man. Our prayers are with you and the rest of the family. That God is LOVE and God is LIFE is not in doubt. As Christians, we believe the resurrection was the result of Jesus’ death…Easter Sunday is the result of Good Friday. Christ is risen and He is risen indeed. May God’s light shine in these dark moments you find yourselves in and may His mercy restore you until you are strong again. AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
